We are so excited to be featured in a recent Meetings Today article, “Eight Historic Venues for Meetings in North Carolina”! This feature includes eight notable venues in Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, and Wilmington. We’re honored to be in the same category as venues like Battleship NC and The Duke Mansion.
If you are looking for more of a reception or dinner style venue, The Historic Wakefield Barn is perfect for you. We are located just 30 minutes outside of Raleigh in Wake Forest. The century-old, three-story dairy barn stands on a more than 11-acre property and features towering silos, arched ceilings, and a cocktail hour space that highlights the restored stables.
Jessica Holt, public relations and international tourism manager at The Greater Raleigh CVB, shares: “That facility is beautiful to see, with pretty arches and shiplap. It’s popular for weddings, but it’s been used for receptions and other various events.”
Meetings Today also mentions our sister property, Melrose Knitting Mill, if you are looking for a location in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
To see all eight of the featured venues, check out the article here.
If you are interested in taking a look inside the barn, schedule your in-person or virtual tour today! We would love to brainstorm with you on how we can accommodate your meeting, reception, or wedding.
