Located right outside downtown Raleigh, our venue offers a private and unique space for your Wedding. Covering over 14 acres, our Main Barn, Bridal House, active Horse Barn, and covered Parking Arena create the perfect atmosphere for your special day.
For over 90 years our venue has operated as a cow farm, a horse farm, and finally a luxury wedding venue. Today The Historic Wakefield Barn invites you to celebrate your wedding day with us surrounded by those you love.

Our venue can accommodate up to 300 seated or 350 standing guests.
Does our venue have a Bridal Suite?

Our venue hosts two getting-ready suites. The primary suite is located in a separate home adjacent to our Main Barn. Our secondary suite lives in the Main Barn.
Is our venue rented by section?

Our venue fee is an all-encompassing rental. Meaning you have exclusive access to the entire space for your wedding day. No split days, and no split spaces.
Does our venue have an indoor and outdoor space?

Our venue has both an indoor and an outdoor wedding/reception space, as well as a cocktail floor in the Main Barn.
What is our venue fee?

Our venue fee varies on three things: (1) the size of your party, (2) your desired day of the week, and (3) your desired month of the year. This system creates a unique venue fee for each event.
